Great Rock Golf Course named 2012 LI Golf Course of the Year

Great Rock golf course has been named the 2012 Long Island Golf Course of the Year by the Long Island Golf Course Association.

"The criteria for the award include condition of the course, competency of ownership and management, the service they offer, their teaching professionals and programs for kids," L.I. Golf Course Association president Richard Rocchio said. "We take an overall look at the quality of the operation and what the course is doing to benefit the game," Rocchio said.

"Great Rock's phenomenal restaurant was a factor, as was its outstanding group of teaching professionals under head pro Tim McAuley," Rocchio said.

"We're very proud of this award," Great Rock general manager Brian Curtain said. "There's a lot of tough competition out there."

The East End Women's Network will hold its May Meeting on Wednesday, May 16. Thomas Sullivan joins Bridgehampton National Bank as Vice President, Commercial Lending Officer

Kevin L. Santacroce, Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer noted, “I am pleased to welcome Thomas Sullivan to our lending team. Tom is a well-known local banking professional with a reputation for providing knowledgeable, responsive personal service to customers. He brings a wealth of experience to the table and will be a tremendous asset not only to the Bank, but also his clients.”

A graduate of Bowdoin College in Economics and the prestigious Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University, Mr. Sullivan brings 16 years of banking experience in lending to his new position.  He began his career as a credit analyst in 1996 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility.  Most recently he served as a Vice President at Capital One Bank, formerly North Fork Bank, in the Business Banking Group, working with the commercial client base.

In his role at Bridgehampton National Bank, Mr. Sullivan will focus on servicing the lending needs of existing customers and developing new customers in the Suffolk County market.

A resident of Mattituck, New York where he lives with his wife and two children, he has been active in the Mattituck community for many years.

Stephen Sheridan joins Bridgehampton National Bank as regional manager for western Long Island

A graduate of Hofstra University in Business Administration and Dowling College with an MBA, Mr. Sheridan brings 22 years of banking experience, in both the loan and deposit areas, to his new position.  He began his career as a Management Trainee in 1990 and has since held various positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently he served as a Senior Vice President, Middle Market Relationship Manager at Capital One Bank, formerly North Fork Bank, in the Middle Market Lending Group, delivering a high level of service to the commercial client base.

In his role at Bridgehampton National Bank, Mr. Sheridan will focus on building deposit growth and strengthening customer relationships. Managing branches from Patchogue to Deer Park, Mr. Sheridan understands the local economy and the importance of working closely with the regional business customers of Bridgehampton National Bank.

A resident of East Islip, New York where he lives with his wife and three children, he has been active in the East Islip community for many years.
