A Bellport man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and felony unlicensed operation after a traffic stop in Riverside Friday night.
Southampton Town Police said Christopher Nevins, 28, was observed driving without headlights after sunset on Flanders Road. When police stopped Nevins, he was found to be intoxicated, according to a police report.
Nevins was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, also a felony, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, a misdemeanor, circumventing an interlock device, a class A misdemeanor, insufficient lights, uninspected motor vehicle and failure to signal.
He was brought to police headquarters, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
